Hi all
Is TPC still alive? the forums seem very empty, Just wandering with the relase of Arma 2 if you are all playing again, may consider buying it if so. Currently i am playing Lord of the rings online and Empire Total war.

Hey James & everyone else! I just placed three orders for ARMA2 today (one for me and two for friends!). So at least I will be trying it out, and as usual multiplayer is the thing for me, never got any kicks from playing solo..  |

Hi guys.Im still playing ARMA 2 at the moment.Dukester is thinking about it but he wants to wait for patches.Im playing at the moment in a russian clan :-) .Everyday you can see more and more old clans and players playing arma2 (NL,DST,SBS,a lot of french clans and and german clans).But arma needs a strong pc.i have a quad cpu 9450 ,4GB ram and a 9800gx2 graphics card and have sometimes fps problems .it would be cool if we would play together again.

Im going to wait a bit for AA 3 with some patches and for OFP 2, then after testing the games ill choose which to play.

Hi Guys
Well I bought Arma 2 and it is a good game, aint been online yet though and the perfomrance has alot to be desired. I have I7 clocked to 3.2ghz, 6gb ram and a 4870x2 and frame rates are preety bad on very high, especially in built up areas it drops to about 10 - 15 fps.
I have been looking on the forums and it is something to do with processor and AI behavoiur, it effect the campain most but multiplayer is supposedley alot better performance wise. Don't think it has been optimised to quad/dual core yet, so it coluld be wise waiting for pathces Noob.
Will try mulitplayer tonight and see how it goes, will be on the SBS server as i used to play CSS and BF 2 with them. Hopefully see some of you guys online too.

OFP2 is not the same as ARMA2. After reading things, ARMA2 is the real sequel to OFP.
ARMA2 is more realistic and like OFP was in every way. OFP2 is more of an Arcade game for consoles.
ARMA2 is out now, OFP2 later. I put my 2cents on ARMA2!

Hi Yoda It seems to be mainly a campaign issue, people on mulitplayer says it runs smoothly between 30 - 60 fps on max detail. Also when I did the training the fps was really good on that too. However the game does look amazing, I would put it up there with Crysis, but with alot more freedom, never played Arma 1 but this game is basically OFP with better graphics from what I have seen so far which is not to much tbh, (only bout 4 hours of play) Give it a whirl and if you don't like just take it back and trade it in for OFP 2, there is no need to register the game with Steam so the shops should take it back. returning them back doesnt work out here once the box is opened. That is anyways not a problem. Its the time... I dont want to throw the money away. Bought ARMA1 and played mayve 5 to 10 times....still sits on my shelf.....got far cry 2 collectors edition and the only thing i have used so far is the tshirt in it... lol.....

Hi all Well played Arma 2 online last night for the first time and I must say I was impressed. First of all there were no fps issues when compared to the campaign. Everyting on very high, aa on 2 on 1650 x 1080, was very good. Second, it is basically OFP with better graphics, if thats a good thing on not  (oh and without the tracers). Went on the DST server for a few games of CTF, playing little E brought back memories I tell you, was good laugh. Not short of players either, would say there was at least 500 people on last night over the various servers, most playing CTI and COOP though. Movement is still fairly clunky though, eg u stand still when throwing a grenade, you can vault over things though pressing the V key, however still no jumping. (The G36 also takes up load of screen space). There were a few lag issues for a few players but nothing too bad. I never played the original Arma online so I can't comment on that but it did feel like I was playing OFP version 2 last night online. Would certainly give it more of a go over the wkend and I would say it is worth a try, maybe download the demo Yoda? Hmm Far Cry 2 had loads of potential but was too dull so I can symphasize with you there, bought it on the PS and got it free with my new comp, can't get rid of the damn thing. Laters James |

Finland has no importer....so the game is not available. Various shops have ordered british version from sweden. Pete has ordered from uk online.... They promise it will be here by friday. Will get it then....

hoahhhhhh sup daddys finally you guys back for action  i installed insane game for testing.well after some tweaks it runs smooth on my old maschine. did a deatchmatch 10 players on server no lags game stable and.........dont ask who was on top after round damn this goodlooking fast handed smart bitch had 15 kills more than no.2 ) think i will buy it just to meet you guys again but i wait for the rpg AION so i will split up my time into 2 games meet some nice guys in another rpg (runes of magic). pete baby hope you set up a ts server again m8 |

TS has been up and running all the time I also have plenty of fast webspace for files, web pages etc. I can also start up a gameserver, but it will be only good for small use. But if we decide to really get active again we can get a rented server and I can admin it. I still have not received my copy, but I am prepared for it and will spend time with ARMA2 IF YOU old dear fags also start playing it. I must be old and sentimental, but I sometimes miss our good matches and team spirit Check the private side for more info! |

HI Guys.Nice to read that you came back in Action.Im played ARMA 2 and its just the Feeling like in OFP.
But i have not so much Time;-((( Im back in School and my Daughter is born on Sunday the 5th July ;-D My little Princess ,-)) 2 Kids and Technicalschool is very hard but i try to play so often i can and now is HOLIDAYYYYY ;-D
I hope too see you guys often on the Battlefield.Ill be there so is has Time.
Let the good times roll ;-)))
PS.: Hexenkessel is so funny to play in ARMA 2.
